| In the 1970's, the laws of physics combined with the art of cinematography revolutionized the motion picture and television industries with the invention of the STEADICAM. This camera stabilization system distributes the mass of the camera and places the CENTER of GRAVITY (CG) of the camera system within reach of the operator. By manipulating the camera at its CG, the operator is free to perform ultra-smooth camera moves -- 360 degree pans, booms, etc. -- while standing, walking, jumping, or running. This site is being developed to provide information about the various STEADICAM systems and provide a forum for discussion.
